Our dear label, Ripple Music, has signed a deal with Nail, a rootin' tootin' heavy music distributor for North America. Now people who shop at Walmart and other fine retailers may be able to fondle our wares in-store.

Yeah, so much for those updates we promised. Better late than never though. Our plain-clothed studio wizard Mike Southworth is presently casting spells on our tracks. Instead, or perhaps in addition to, a wand, he uses this magical contraption called "a computer" to mix the various sounds together into a single waveform. Now, go follow our facebutt page.

Tonight from 5:30 to 7:30pm, Fen will be part of the Forest Symphony taking place in the UBC endowment lands. Up to 3000 people will be strolling along forest trails whilst getting serenaded by any number of musicians from many styles. The trail starts at St. Anselm's Church on University Blvd in Vancouver.

It's official. Fen has been invited to play an opening set on May 30th for UK art rock band, Blackfield, fronted by Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson and Israeli singer Aviv Geffen. The show will take place at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre (254 E. Hastings St). Tickets are available here for $21 (make sure to choose "Blackfield" from the drop-down menu).

Fen has just signed with California-based indie label Ripple Music. Run by two guys dubbed Racer and Pope, the label first learned about Fen through their award-winning blog The Ripple Effect, which gave Congenital Fixation the best write-up its ever had. They requested a follow-up interview, published several weeks later, then they emailed with more questions, and finally, an invitation to join their roster. Racer and Pope are bursting at the seams to release Trails out of Gloom, and will make an announcement of the date very soon. In the meantime, Fen is moving their email list to Reverbnation, and hope that you will click here to stay abreast of all things Fen.
