Fen has just signed with California-based indie label Ripple Music. Run by two guys dubbed Racer and Pope, the label first learned about Fen through their award-winning blog The Ripple Effect, which gave Congenital Fixation the best write-up its ever had. They requested a follow-up interview, published several weeks later, then they emailed with more questions, and finally, an invitation to join their roster. Racer and Pope are bursting at the seams to release Trails out of Gloom, and will make an announcement of the date very soon. In the meantime, Fen is moving their email list to Reverbnation, and hope that you will click here to stay abreast of all things Fen.

Two Fen songs have been placed in a Home & Garden Television (HGTV) reality series called Real Estate Intervention. For those of you living in the US, you can watch the episodes here. Unfortunately HGTV did not extend the license to Canada, so we have not been able to view it ourselves. Find us on Facebook and let us know if it's everything we dreamed it would be.

The first kicks of the yet unborn album, Trails out of Gloom, were experienced this weekend at Creativ Studios in North Van, where a demo of Find That One was recorded with much delight and trepidation. Soon, this recording will be used as leverage to get you to buy the new album before it's complete.

Seems like people either love Fen's music, or hate its nauseating guts. After a couple months on slicethepie, our ratings average out to 5.5/10 and the comments accompanying them range from "uninspiring, poorly written. Lack of creativity" to "massively original and quite unique sounding" and "stands up against the great rock bands including Flaw, Godsmack, Mudvayne."
